Preschooler left alone on Sunnyside bus

Posted: Dec 05, 2012 3:24 PM Updated: Dec 05, 2012 4:50 PM By Barbara Grijalva - bio | email TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - An investigation is underway at Sunnyside School District after a boy was left on a bus yesterday morning. The preschooler's mother, Cindy Oroz, says she got a call from Sunnyside's Ocotillo Early Learning Center at 5702 S. Campbell late in the morning, saying her son was not at school. District officials say they found the 3-year-old boy on the bus at the bus yard. He was on the bus for an hour and a half. According to Oroz, he was crying hysterically when he was found strapped in his seat inside the closed bus. The bus driver and the bus monitor are on paid suspension as the district investigates the incident. School officials say it's possible their procedures were not followed. This is horrible and they should be ashamed that this happed. Something could have gone really bad if this would have been summer. Thank good the baby is ok. They also should have told her what happend as soon as the incident occured instead they waited till his school day was over. That in itself is horrible.
